Ah... So that's the oil pressure switch. Lamp works fine, comes on - goes off straight away. Perhaps it wasn't working before and I just didn't notice. One more thing done anyways.
A different resistor? Do you know which way I would need to go with the resistor value? Frankly, I can't see it being a bother and it'll probably improve as I get more servicing jobs done - the air filter is manky... But since we've gone from happens when I reverse, to happens only when I challenge it, to now: Rarely ever happens *at all* I'm pretty happy with it.
Started on the tidy up. Re-spraying the wiper arms, stripping the cracked plastic off the window bottoms and painting that too. Paintwork's really good for the year - just a few chips and dings, so it should come up looking very nice.
