Welcome along. Check up under the rear for rust and the side skirts hide rust well aswell. While the engine is running and lights are on put the steering to full lock and see if it surges or stalls also try this when it in gear and in reverse(do this a couple of times) The rpm should sit nicely at about 800. Make sure the overdrive button works, its on the side of the gear shifter( works like a extra gear. Make sure its switched on and it should kick in at about 40mph then knock it off when your going a bit faster and you should see revs shoot up). I drive with overdrive constantly on. Then check for the obvious things like clunks n bangs n the rest that goes with purchasing a vehicle. Hope this helps
