Hello to all largo owners. I'm new! Can you help

Post by RBP »

Hi all
I am the recent owner of a 1996 largo diesel living in Birmingham.
Im really pleased with my purchase as these are great looking vans and my kids love the inside!

I wondered whether anyone can help me as I'm planning some touring at Easter and want to get the van ship shape!

Firstly, does anyone know of a garage in Birmingham / West Midlands that specialise / could do a full service? Including oils, transmission fluid and cambelt change?

I'm also after some roof bars? But the channel on the roof doesn't look standard.... can anyone guide me as to where I can buy some bars that would work?

I hope you can help

Many thanks

try this thread, you may need to modify them though...

I'm sure there are some members local to Birmingham but perhaps they haven't seen your post yet, hope you find somewhere!

Hey folks, new to the forum. I am trying to read this thread, but it tells me that I am not authorised to read? Please help. I would like to read this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1857&hilit=roof+bars

I am in need of roof bars, so if someone can tell me which ones to purchase for modification for the 96 Largo glass roof van, that would be great. Thanks!

Welcome along. Dont know why it wont let you read but i pasted this off that thread:
quote="Smudge"]After seeing this I've now done the same mod to my roof bars :D
The ones I got were Mont Blanc Roof Bars 405UL Length 160cm.
Made to fit Jag XJ(94>03)/Volvo 240(82>93)/Volvo 740 (82>91)/Volvo 940 (90>96)/ Nissan Patrol (93>98)
My Largo is a 96 (N) SX-G with sunroof. I can still use my sun roof even with the bars on. Cost me £37.81 new inc P&P off eBay.

After alot of research to find the correct fitting kit, i have successfully fitted the roof bars to my 98 Largo. Using the fitting kit for a Nissan Elgrand 97-02, the bars fit perfect with no alterations required.

The Elgrand kit also covers:
Hiace 4 door van 99-10
Land Cruiser Prado 03-09
Land Cruiser 200 Series 07+
Regius Commercial 4 door Van 97-02

cheers
